ARTISTS STATEMENT
My work is concerned with humankind’s evolution and the journey towards our inevitable end. There is an apocalyptic, and sometimes comic, tone.

I use anything that interests me at any given time whether it be sailing ships, satellites, model planes, photos of the landscape, or stills from WWII film footage. I also incorporate stencils, signs and symbols, which are present all around us.

Traditional forms of mark making, with brush, pen or charcoal stick are executed, then scanned into the computer and a process of experiment and play begins. I like the interplay of traditional, organic, techniques with more recent computer-orientated methods: accidents are allowed to happen, some rejected, others kept.
